HRTV FEATURES LIVE COVERAGE OF RACHEL ALEXANDRA & ZENYATTA'S
With racing superstars, Rachel Alexandra and Zenyatta, both set to make their seasonal debuts this Saturday, March 13, HRTV (R) will present a special edition of its "Grandstand" show, titled "Champions Return," beginning at 6 p.m. ET/5 p.m. CT/3 p.m. PT.
A compelling hour of programming will highlight the two distaff legends as they commence their 2010 racing seasons, while gearing up for their epic clash, slated for the $5 million Apple Blossom at Oaklawn Park on Friday, April 9.
(During that time period, HRTV will also offer live coverage of the $300,000 Rebel Stakes, a noteworthy Kentucky Derby prep from Oaklawn Park.)
HRTV will present comprehensive coverage of the two prep races, with Hall of Fame jockey Gary Stevens, and Scott Hazelton onsite at the Fair Grounds, reporting on the reigning Horse of the Year's 4-year-old debut. Laffit Pincay III and Jeff Siegel will be trackside at Santa Anita to provide analysis of undefeated Zenyatta's eagerly-awaited return.
Rachel Alexandra will head the field in the $200,000 New Orleans Ladies from the Fair Grounds, with post time set for 6:15 p.m. ET/5:15 p.m. CT/3:15 p.m. PT. She has drawn post two in the five-horse field.
Less than a half-hour later, Zenyatta gets underway in the Grade 1, $250,000 Santa Margarita from Santa Anita Park -- post time set for 6:40 p.m. ET/5:40 p.m. CT/3:40 p.m. PT.

HRTV KICKS OFF EQUESTRIAN PROGRAMMING FROM AACHEN, GERMANY ON MONDAY, FEBRUARY 8
HRTV will expand its horse sports programming line-up when it begins airing top-flight Equestrian-related programming, commencing with the World Equestrian Festival, CHIO-2009 from Aachen, Germany, on Monday, February 8, 2010.
HRTV's airing of the best of the Aachen event on February 8 at 9:30 p.m. ET/6:30 p.m. PT will be the North American premiere of English-language coverage of the prestigious event, which took place in late June-early July, 2009.
The initial broadcast is the first of five, one-hour shows from Aachen, which will be shown on successive weeks on HRTV. Each new show will premiere on Monday nights, with re-airs slated for Tuesdays, and the following Sunday.

HORSE TALK TV
Tune in for a look at the horse world from Down Under when "Horse Talk TV," an entertaining weekly, half-hour magazine-style program, premieres on the network this Monday, March 1.
"Horse Talk TV" will air on the network at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT. While the show will debut on Monday evenings, it will also re-air on Tuesdays, and the following Sunday.
"Horse Talk TV" first launched in 2009, and it covers all the high-profile horse sports -- from dressage to reining, plus other more unusual horse-related activities, such as trick riding and liberty horses, as well as a spot of jousting. It also offers "Ask The Experts" segments, where industry experts give viewers the latest on horse health, showcase new products, and discuss alternative therapies.
Katie Hickson, who has 18 years experience in the horse industry, serves as the host of "Horse Talk TV." Combined with her team of enthusiastic reporters, the show brings you face-to-face with a wide variety of horse stories.
The show's premiere episode on HRTV will feature a look at CDI, the premier dressage event in Australia. In addition, there is a Visit to A. Troop, the oldest continuous light horse re-enactment in Australia. This initial week's "Ask The Experts" segment features Dr. John Walker, who offers the top tips for feeding your horses.
In upcoming weeks, "Horse Talk TV" episodes will include jousting at a medieval fair, the Bentley Cup, a trick horse training clinic, the International Society of Equestrian Science Conference, the Pony Club Australia National Championships, and much more.
HRTV TO PROVIDE COVERAGE OF DUBAI RACING CARNIVAL
10-Date Carnival Begins 1/28
Once again this season, HRTV (R) will provide live coverage of the 10-date Dubai International Racing Carnival from the sparkling new Meydan Racecourse, beginning tomorrow, Thursday, January 28, and culminating with the prestigious Dubai World Cup program on Saturday, March 27. This marks the fourth consecutive year HRTV has covered the Carnival.
Opening day coverage on Thursday will commence at 9:30 a.m. ET/6:30 a.m. PT.
After the Carnival's opener, HRTV will air coverage of the Carnival throughout the next two months. The six dates in February are: 4th, 5th, 11th, 18th, 19th, and 25th. Two March dates (4th and 5th), prior to World Cup Day, are also included. The March 4 card is dubbed as "Super Thursday," which features six stakes races which serve as prep races for World Cup Day.
The 15th running of Dubai World Cup program on March 27 will offer $26 million in purses. The renowned annual event is headlined by the $10 million Dubai World Cup, contested at 1 1/4 miles.
